Story

These guys are great ! The 3 of them are so relaxed, friendly and down to earth, they made me feel liked id known them for years, it was a pleasure meeting them.

They were here in January 08 supporting the fantastic Police tour, and they played there own tour dates in a few Sydney venues. It is true I was not familiar with their music until Id heard of them as a support act for, The Police, and when I realised the connection, I chose to do a painting of the band after checking out and enjoying their music, they certainly have talent, I hope they reach the success they deserve, and im sorry for Joe (lead vocals) if the surrounding connection is a tough one to deal with, always being compared to his father. If you ever read this guys, keep going, I think your great and I’ll do my best to spread your music.

I parked my car the evening of one of their Sydney shows and walked around to the pub they were playing at, as I got around the corner, I saw the 3 of them standing there out the front, looking like they’d just been dropped off literally then. They must have thought it bizarre that I appeared from no where with a painting to offer them as a gift. They were so cool, we chatted and Seton and I talked about where I was from in England and his name, he told me he believed it to be possibly of Irish decent Joe decided the painting was to big for them to transport around and instead asked if he and the band could take a photo of me holding it. Awesome ! I happily agreed, then asked if they’d like to sign it for me, which they were cool about, not wanting to ruin the painting with where they signed. Pete (Drums) suggested I get in for a photo with them, and it just felt so good, I really felt like I connected with them, they made me feel so relaxed. As I wished them well, I told Joe that the night before id met his dad and given him a painting of his band as well. He smiled and must have thought I was crazy, it certainly felt crazy saying it.
