Story

These kind of paintings are always fun to do, Alice Cooper has great characteristics, and though I am not overly familiar with his catalogue of music, he is certainly a legend in the dark goth type rock world of music.

I waited at the venue in July 06 to try my luck at catching Mr Cooper entering to do his gig, as darkness came and entry to the venue was dimly lit, I made a huge error and basically watched Alice get out of his car with a small group of people and walk on into the theatre ! Not surprisingly they were all dressed in black and I had thought it was roadies ! Before too long I hear music coming from the theatre, what I first thought must be the support band turned out to be Alice Cooper !

I decided to head to the hotel where he had been staying and try again to meet Alice as he arrived after his show. After a couple of hours sitting in the hotel foyer Alice Cooper walked on in. He was very polite and headed over to myself and my friend as we approached the man himself. Without even having to ask for autographs, Mr Cooper willingly held his hand out for our pens and happily signed away.

As he left, a small group of people watching us in our afterglow asked us , ‘who was that he looked familiar’.
